De más de 120 novelas propuestas la longlist ha quedado reducida a 16. El 1 de mayo se anunciará la shortlist y el 14 de ese mes al ganador. La lista de los 16 elegibles incluye a dos colombianos: al Bogotá39, Juan Gabriel Vásquez, y a Evelio Rosero, ganador del Tusquets con Los ejércitos, junto a autores como Ma Jian, Ismael Kadare, Yoko Ogawa, Sjon y A.
