Debemos suponer que el próximo martes, el presidente Hugo Chávez va a recibir de la Asamblea Nacional venezolana «poderes especiales para legislar» con el claro propósito de acelerar la transición de Venezuela hacia el socialismo. Durante un año y medio podrá actuar en diez áreas que abarcan toda la actividad administrativa, social y económica de su país. Las inquietudes o las ilusiones provocadas por el proceso corresponden a las opiniones de cada uno sobre Chávez. Es un militar, ha dado un papel muy importante a unos trescientos militares que compiten con organizaciones de civiles para el acceso al poder y a posibilidades de enriquecimiento. Es una obvia competencia, más allá del proceso político, para mejorar sus recursos entre quienes apoyen a Chávez.

Basta leer el sitio pro-chavista Aporrea para comprobarlo. No existe una visión política compartida entre los seguidores del comandante. Hay criterios distintos, odio, recelo, venganza, sincera aspiración, tremenda ingenuidad entre las opiniones expresadas. Pero no se dice nada de lo que ocurre detrás del telón de las instituciones. Cuando se adivina la realidad económica del sistema en un texto, la nota no se queda mucho en la portada. Por ejemplo, cuando se dice que a pesar de los recursos sacados del petróleo, no hay azúcar en muchas partes del país, lo que permite todo tipo de corrupción y enriquecimiento tanto en los almacenes libres como en los mercales del poder que, se supone, venden azúcar a precio subvencionado. Esto es lo que quiero resaltar: hablar de socialismo del siglo XXI es una cosa, pero el mundo donde ese socialismo tiene que crecer es harina de otro costal.

Ayer, leí en el Nuevo Herald de Miami una buenísima nota de Gerardo Reyes sobre Farid Feris Domínguez, un narcotraficante colombiano detenido hace unos meses en Venezuela. Sé lo que me van a decir los lectores de El Boomeran(g): se trata de un señor detenido, que podría ser extradito a EE UU y que busca un arreglo con la DEA y la justicia norteamericana. Está bien, puede ser, pero vale la pena leer lo que cuenta de su vida como narcotraficante en Venezuela y sus relaciones con las autoridades. En otra época de mi vida, como reportero, he oído cuentos como este. Puede tener pequeñas mentiras, cambios de nombres o de apellidos pero en el fondo es algo verosímil, hasta realista. Es un retrato parcial pero real de Venezuela. Y que nadie venga a decirme que por fin el narco fue detenido. Esto confirma mi doble teoría:

1. Se va a construir el socialismo con una Administración que no tiene ni idea de lo que es una ética.

2. El sistema legal no funciona debido a la corrupción, pero tampoco la corrupción ofrece un sistema confiable a los que pagan.

Una pregunta: ¿quién va a escribir la novela de Farid Feris Domínguez? Su relato es una novela de las que cuentan la vida diaria de un capo.

le invito a visitar http://nuevaguardia.blogspot.com. alli podrá ver la vision de un Venezonalo, que aunque muy consciente de las fallas actuales, sabe y dice la verdad de lo que en Venezuela pasa. Es importante que las personas conozcan un poco mejor aquello acerca de lo que pretenden enseñar.

Sabe, aqui en Chile ocurrió algo similar con el Gob. de Salvador Allende: Muchos ministros no estaban preparados para los ministerios. Sin Embargo, no se puede negar de la fortaleza moral y de lucha que permitió que, por ejemplo, cada niño recibiera su taza de leche diaria hasta los 15 años; que los buenos estudiantes fueran( en ese tiempo) a estudiar a RDA o a la Ex- URSS; que el deporte fuera bien desarrollado. Si claro, los ministros no estaban con su titulo universitario pero hay una cosa: todos ellos estaban consientes de los problemas sociales que en Chile había. En Venezuela, Yo creo que los funcionarios públicos no saben que es ética porque vienen de un sistema corrupto: EL Capitalista. y en uno de los decretos firmados por el Presidente de Venezuela aparece claramente la intencion de educar en el servicio público a los funcionarios que allí trabajan. Asi que su teoría que nula (por lo demas, el proseso ruso, cuando comenzo, Lennin se preguntaba porque diablos no sacaban a los funcionarios del Zar del gobierno, quiza eso le haga a ud. cranear algo)

Y su segunda teoría. No es que el sistema legal no funcione por la corrupcion, es que ese sistema es un sistema ideado para "manos de hacha", ideal para los poderosos y no para el pueblo. Por eso que no resulta

Un equilibrado acercamiento a la situacion venezolana, sin duda. Yo tambien lei el articulo de Gerardo Reyes y mi reaccion fue muy parecida a la tuya. Es, ante todo, una confesion sumamente creible.
Comparto de igual manera el grueso de tus dos teorias. La revolucion que se esta llevando a cabo carece de cualquier tipo de etica. Se trata de una carrera por cambiarlo todo, por deshacer tradiciones y suplantar rutinas, pero sin una verdadera nocion del por que o hacia donde va este cambio. Todo esto sobre un denominador comun de corrupcion e hipocresias ideologicas.

Biografía

Jean-François Fogel es francés y tiene 58 años. Periodista y ensayista, trabajó para la Agencia France-Presse, el diario Libération, el semanal Le Point y el mensual Le Magazine Littéraire. Ha vivido una parte de su vida en España donde empezó una segunda carrera como asesor para empresas de prensa. Fue asesor del director del diario Le Monde, desde 1994 a 2002, y sigue trabajando en la concepción y la remodelación continua del sitio Internet creado por el vespertino. Es maestro de la Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano donde desempeña una línea pedagógica dedicada a la calidad periodística. Publicó varios libros sobre literatura francesa y sobre América Latina. Su libro más reciente es un ensayo sobre el periodismo digital, Una prensa sin Gutenberg (Punto de Lectura, 2007).
